Finding Solace In Urban Chaos

Gude Temple is one of the most important temples in Wuhan and also the listed building in China. This temple is almost forgotten by this city, which is surrounded by high-rise buildings and isolated in the context. A development proposal is pointed out to increasing the value of the land and focusing on commercial issues. However, people could feel a sense of peace when they just step into this temple. The meditation spirit supported by the religion is powerful which establishes a strong contrast with the chaotic city. We hope the new development could keep the tranquil atmosphere of this religious building as a respect of the faith and the solace demanding of the citizen.
