Old Royal High School, a Grade A listed building, is a Neoclassical architecture designed by Thomas Hamilton. This building is located on the foot of Calton Hill facing Arthur’s Seat and could be easily accessed by walking down Princes Street. The renovation proposal of Old Royal High School to a music/dance school reflects the condition of the World Heritage Area development, the sensitive context of a historic building extension and the architecture language in contemporary and the past.
